Our Mission
To provide a place where children are able to cultivate their imaginations and dreams and make them into a reality. We aim to help each child develop the skills necessary to succeed, not only in the academics, but in life as well.
For years, quality childcare has been hard to come by, and owner Leigh Anne Chitmon knew parents didn’t want to drop their children off with just another babysitter or another daycare. Parents wanted their children to be cared for, nurtured, educated, and loved; they want their precious to be safe and to have fun!
As a mother of two with over 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, Leigh Anne understands that the first years are the most formative for children. The Children’s Hour Academy of Early Education was formed in 2003 as one of the first preschools around Bentonville, Arkansas that focused on quality early childhood education and character values. It wasn’t just a vision that started The Children’s Hour — it was passion.
Quite often, a child’s first significant time away from home and first exposure to structured learning occurs at The Children’s Hour Academy of Early Education. Knowing this, we make our center feel like a home away from home for children and families alike. Our center is built to foster an environment where children feel comfortable, safe, and ready to learn. With attention to every detail, we designed our center to ensure and encourage a child’s natural curiosity and creativity. We have carefully selected our furniture, accessories, and supplies to match the children’s age and size in order to make sure that their introduction to learning is comfortable, enjoyable, and fun!
The safety of your children is the number one priority at The Children’s Hour. Rest assured that we have taken every necessary step to make sure that your child is safe and secure while they spend their day with us.
A security door code is required to enter our facility. Only staff and registered families are issued with access codes. All other visitors must be authorized by the administration staff and are required to present a valid government-issued ID.
Spacious fenced-in playgrounds make certain that children are protected while in our care. Additionally, each classroom is equipped with cameras that are closely monitored by our administrative staff to make sure that every child is safe and properly supervised.
You can be sure that from the moment that you drop your child off in the morning until the time you pick them up in the evening; your child is safe and secure at The Children’s Hour Academy of Early Education.
Years of research, experience, and expert guidance have produced an exceptional, innovative, educational and values-based curriculum in each classroom. Our curriculum is based on current research in today’s changing times and is updated constantly to keep up.
Our dedication to providing quality educational care for young children has been the guiding principle for The Children’s Hour. For over 16 years, that passion has grown into one of the leading educational childcare centers in Northwest Arkansas, winning numerous awards. Even in our growth over the years, the family values that started The Children’s Hour remain the same.
Today, owner and executive director Leigh Anne Chitmon — along with directors Jenafer Neal and Leigh Anne’s daughter, Kailey Chitmon — directs company operations and growth, always guiding with a passion for quality early education and partnering alongside parents in their journey.
